Tucker University is a series of technique classes using Deb Tucker's Studio 180 Design tools and technique sheets. Class will cost $20/session.
Students will need to bring their sewing machine, accessories, & a FQ bundle.

Month 1 - Tucker Trimmer and Shaded Four Patch
Learn how to use a Tucker Trimmer 1 to create half square triangles, quarter square triangles and combination units.This one ruler can make three different units in 11 different sizes. Deb Tuckers method of making all blocks slightly oversized and trimming down to exact size creates perfect piecing. Tucker Trimmer is the perfect place for any quilter to begin their journey through the Studio 180 Design set of tools. Each month of Tucker University students will gain new techniques without the obligation of having to complete a full quilt top. We will be designing 4” finished units that can be combined with other units to make 8” or 12” finished blocks. We will also create a Shaded Four Patch block.
Month 2 -
V Block & Sidekick & High/Low
Sidekick and High/Low are two units that can give a terrific spiky look to your blocks and borders. They can add lots of interest to traditional quilts, but also have great appeal to the contemporary quilter because of the dramatic angles and asymmetry. Your stars will sparkle after learning the V Block tool! This is a classic triangle unit with sharp angles. The Sidekick and High/Low units will add interest to your blocks with an eye-catching spikey look in traditional and modern quilts.
